The TV and Movie Animal Walk of Fame was established in front of the Burbank Animal Shelter, honoring certain early recipients of the PATSY Awards. The letters are an acronym, and stand for Picture Animal Top Star of the Year. The project is in partnership with the Burbank Cultural Arts Commission and The Animation Guild to celebrate the Guild’s 70th anniversary. The PATSY Award was originated by the Hollywood office of the American Humane Association in 1939. The dedicated volunteers at Burbank Animal Shelter have worked tirelessly to put together this years unique and exciting items up for bid. On Wednesday, November 16th, the Burbank Animal Shelter revealed its new murals with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. He was then chosen for the title role in Benji (1974).
